Melissa Swan is an award winning journalist who has worked in Kentucky for nearly 4 decades. She has been awarded 2 regional Emmys as well as several SPJ awards. During her 31 years at WHAS11 Melissa brought reports to Kentuckiana viewers from as far away as Seoul, Korea and Kiev, Ukraine. One of her most challenging, yet rewarding experiences as a journalist was anchoring WHAS’s live coverage from New York in the days following 9-11. However, the stories she enjoys reporting most are about the fascinating people who live in Kentuckiana.
